Ambuyat is a delicacy made from Sago palm starch.

It is made of Sago starch, dried shrimp, shrimp paste, chili pepper, tempoyak or fermented Durian and salt.

It is normally sprinkled with salt.

It is usually eaten with bamboo fork called chandas, served with grilled shrimp, shrimp sauce and cooked vegetables or as side dish to main meals.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or dinner.
