Chicken Pelau is a one-pot chicken, rice and pigeon peas dish.

It is made of chicken, parboiled rice, green pigeon peas, green seasoning, brown sugar, onion, pimento pepper, black pepper, garlic, ginger, pumpkin, tomato, coconut milk, parsley, cilantro and salt.

It is normally served with salad, shredded carrots, tomatoes or cucumber.

It is mostly eaten for lunch
